Sync'ing with PDAs

I am still missing a solution to sync my Calendar and Todos, as well as
the contacts, between Thunderbird/Lightning and a Palm PDA.
Where do I get the necessary information (on the Lightning/Thunderbird
side) how to write such a program by my own?
Or are there already other solutions available?

There are already quite a few threads about that in this newsgroup. I
suggest looking at them.
